Gujarat, September 1, 2025 — Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has officially started development on one of the world’s largest single-site solar projects in Kutch, Gujarat, as announced at its annual general meeting by Anant Ambani. The sprawling project covers 5.5 lakh acres, making it roughly three times the size of Singapore, and represents a landmark shift in the energy landscape.
Projected to power nearly 10% of India’s electricity requirements within the next decade, Reliance’s mega solar park will not only generate massive renewable power but also serve as a backbone for the company’s emerging green energy ecosystem.
