Reliance Industries has officially launched Reliance Intelligence, a wholly-owned subsidiary focused on accelerating India’s transformation into a global AI hub. The announcement was made by Chairman Mukesh Ambani at the 48th Annual General Meeting on August 29, 2025 The Times of India
Four Strategic Missions of Reliance Intelligence
Reliance Intelligence is guided by four key missions:
- Build gigawatt-scale, AI-ready data centers, powered by clean energy—an infrastructure backbone engineered for AI training and inference
- Forge global partnerships, bringing leading technology firms and open-source communities together to collaborate
- Deliver trusted, easy-to-use AI services across critical sectors—consumers, small businesses, healthcare, agriculture, education, retail, telecom, and financial services
- Create a hub for AI talent, fostering researchers, engineers, designers, and product builders who turn ideas into innovations
Key Partnerships: Google and Meta
- Google will collaborate by integrating its AI and compute offerings through a dedicated Jamnagar Cloud Region, powered by Reliance’s clean energy. Google Cloud will support AI initiatives across multiple sectors like energy, retail, telecom, and finance
- Meta is joining forces via a joint venture to deliver sovereign, enterprise-ready AI platforms. These solutions will utilize Meta’s Llama open-source models and rely on Reliance’s infrastructure to support enterprise workflows
Mukesh Ambani emphasized: “A decade ago, digital services became a new growth engine for Reliance. Now, the opportunity before us with AI is just as large, if not larger. Jio promised and delivered digital everywhere—Reliance Intelligence promises to deliver AI everywhere, for every Indian”
