Sarvam partners with Qualcomm, Bosch, Nokia

On February 18, 2026, the Bengaluru-based “Sovereign AI” startup Sarvam AI announced a trio of high-profile partnerships with Qualcomm, Bosch, and HMD (Nokia). Unveiled at the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, these collaborations represent Sarvam’s pivot from enterprise voice models to a “full-stack” consumer ecosystem designed for on-device, offline-capable intelligence.

1. Qualcomm: Optimizing for the Edge

Sarvam is working closely with Qualcomm to integrate and optimize its indigenous models for Snapdragon platforms.

• The Goal: To enable “Sovereign AI” experiences that run locally on smartphones, PCs, and automotive cockpits without relying on the cloud.
• Impact: This ensures faster response times, enhanced privacy, and lower data costs for users, particularly in areas with spotty connectivity.

2. Bosch: The Conversational Cockpit

The partnership with the German engineering giant focuses on bringing conversational AI to car panels.

• Live Demo: At the summit, Sarvam demonstrated an in-car assistant that could conversationally answer questions like, “Is there enough fuel to reach my destination?” or instantly fetch a car’s service history.
• Edge Processing: Like its other projects, the Bosch integration prioritizes local processing within the car’s system for speed and reliability.

3. HMD / Nokia: AI for the “Next Billion”

In perhaps its most disruptive move, Sarvam partnered with HMD Global (the maker of Nokia phones) to bring AI to feature phones.

• Dedicated AI Button: A demonstrated Nokia feature phone included a physical button that triggers a voice assistant in local Indian languages.
• Sarvam 30B: The integration uses Sarvam’s new 30B model, which is small enough (taking up only megabytes) to run on basic processors.
• Use Case: Users can ask the phone about government schemes, weather, or market prices entirely through voice, bypassing the need for complex smartphone UIs.

New Hardware: Sarvam Kaze (Smart Glasses)

Co-founder Pratyush Kumar also announced that Sarvam will launch its own hardware, the Sarvam Kaze smart glasses, by May 2026.

• Design: Designed and built in India, these glasses are intended as an “experience layer” for Sarvam’s AI models.
• Open Platform: Unlike many proprietary wearables, the Kaze will be an open platform for developers to build their own local-language AI applications.

Infrastructure: The “Pravah” Token Factory

To support these massive deployments, Sarvam also unveiled Pravah, an AI “token factory” built on NVIDIA’s high-performance infrastructure. Pravah is designed to provide production-grade inference for large-scale government and enterprise applications across India.
