Marking its first anniversary, the “instant house-help” startup Pronto has officially crossed the milestone of 500,000 fulfilled bookings in March 2026. The platform, which provides on-demand professionals for household chores like cleaning, utensil washing, and laundry, saw its daily volume surge to 22,000 bookings by the end of the month.
Founded in early 2025 by Anjali Sardana, Prontoโs rapid ascent highlights the explosive growth of Indiaโs hyperlocal “10-minute” service economy.
1. The March Performance Leap
Prontoโs growth in March represents a significant acceleration compared to previous months, as the platform scaled its “Pros” (service professionals) and micro-market density.
| Metric | February 2026 | March 2026 | Growth |
| Total Monthly Bookings | ~400,000 | 500,000+ | โ 25% |
| Daily Avg. Bookings | 15,000 | 22,000 | โ 46.6% |
| Professional Network | ~3,500 Pros | 5,000+ Pros | โ 42.8% |
2. Market Dynamics: The “Instant Maid” Race
Pronto is currently locked in a high-stakes battle with incumbents and specialized rivals in the high-frequency home services sector.
- Urban Company (InstaHelp): Remains the market leader, clocking over 1 million bookings in March with a daily peak of 50,000 orders.
- Snabbit: Also hit the 1 million order milestone in March, growing from 830,000 in February.
- Consolidation: The sector saw its first major move in January 2026 when rival startup Pync shut down and merged its operations with Snabbit.
3. Funding & Valuation
The booking milestone follows a fresh infusion of capital that has given Pronto the “war chest” needed to compete with larger players.
- Series B Round: In March 2026, Pronto raised $25 million in a round led by Epiq Capital, with participation from Glade Brook Capital and Bain Capital Ventures.
- Valuation: The round valued the one-year-old startup at approximately $100 million (โน830 crore).
- Capital Efficiency: Despite the rapid scale, the company has reportedly burned just $8 million over its first year of operations.
4. Regional Strongholds
Prontoโs demand is heavily concentrated in high-density urban corridors where “time-poverty” among working professionals is highest.
- NCR (50% of Demand): Gurgaon alone accounts for 25% of the platform’s total bookings.
- Bengaluru: Contributes 20โ25% of the volume.
- Expansion: The new funding is earmarked for deep expansion into Mumbai and Pune, where the company is currently “supply-constrained.”
5. User Economics: The “Power User” Effect
CEO Anjali Sardana recently shared that Pronto is seeing “addictive” usage patterns among its top tier of customers.
- Top 1%: Book more than 23 times a month (nearly daily use).
- Top 10%: Book more than 9 times a month.
- Utilisation: Each “Pro” on the platform currently averages 7 bookings per day, one of the highest efficiency rates in the gig economy.
“Year two begins now,” Sardana wrote in a LinkedIn post. “None of this happens without the 5,000 Pros who trust us with their livelihoods. We are solving for the families who welcome them in and the professionals who do the hardest work in India.”
