Indian Advertising Industry Crosses ₹1 Lakh Crore in FY25

In fiscal 2025, India’s advertising industry exceeded ₹1 lakh crore, with total ad spend driven strongly by digital, according to Crisil Intelligence data released August 4, 2025. Digital media accounted for 46% of the overall spend, underscoring its dominant role in the market.

Digital advertising continues to be the engine of growth. In 2024, digital accounted for ₹49,251 crore—49% of total spend—and is expected to surpass ₹99,000 crore in 2025. Traditional media like TV and print continue to shrink in share, with print spending around ₹17,529 crore and TV at ₹28,062 crore in 2024.

The dentsu Digital Advertising Report 2025 (DDAR 2025) estimated advertising revenues at ₹1,01,084 crore in 2024 (a 6.3% rise over 2023), and forecast growth to ₹1,15,460 crore by 2026.

This is the first time India’s ad market crossed ₹1 lakh crore in a fiscal year—not simply a projection but validated by recent Crisil data. Digital’s dominance reflects consumer and advertiser shifts toward online videos, e‑commerce, social media, and AI‑powered campaigns.
