The 2026 MacBook Pro models (codenamed K114 and K116) are expected to feature radical hardware changes:
- Tandem OLED Technology: The laptops will switch from mini-LED to the Ultra Retina XDR (tandem OLED) displays currently seen in the iPad Pro, offering higher brightness and deeper blacks.
- Dynamic Island Integration: The controversial notch will reportedly be replaced by a hole-punch camera cutout with Dynamic Island software functionality, mirroring the iPhone’s interface for alerts and media controls.
