Apollo Tyres has emerged as the new official jersey sponsor for the Indian cricket team, securing a high-value sponsorship deal that will run until 2027. The sponsorship deal reportedly pays Apollo Tyres around Rs 4.5 crore per match, surpassing the former sponsor Dream11’s contribution of Rs 4 crore per game. This agreement covers approximately 130 international matches for both the men’s and women’s Indian cricket teams, marking a significant partnership in Indian sports.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) initiated the bidding process after Dream11 exited the sponsorship due to the government’s new Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which restricted real-money gaming promotions in the country. Apollo Tyres outbid other notable contenders such as Canva and JK Tyre in the competitive bidding, securing sponsorship rights that strategically enhance its brand presence on a global scale.
This partnership gives Apollo Tyres premium visibility during matches played across the world, capitalizing on the popularity of Indian cricket, one of the most followed sports in the country. Indian cricket fans witnessed the team playing without a jersey sponsor during the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, but the Apollo Tyres logo is expected to debut soon on the official Indian cricket jerseys, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sports marketing.
Industry experts view Apollo Tyres’ sponsorship deal as a landmark move, strengthening the brand’s association with cricket’s massive fan base and the Indian team’s prestigious international calendar. This collaboration is expected to boost Apollo Tyres’ market presence, particularly in the competitive tyre industry, while supporting Indian cricket’s structured commercial growth.
