In its latest financial update released on February 15, 2026, Lenovo India reported a 7% year-on-year (YoY) rise in revenue to ₹8,145 crore for the third quarter of FY26. Managing Director Shailendra Katyal attributed the performance to “broad-based digitisation” and a massive surge in demand for AI-ready infrastructure and premium mobile devices.
The result marks India’s growing status as a critical hub for the global giant, contributing 4% of Lenovo’s worldwide revenue and nearly 24% of its total revenue in the Asia-Pacific region.
Segment Performance: Motorola and PC Growth
The growth was fueled by double-digit performance across the company’s core business groups, with Motorola standing out as a key volume driver.
| Business Segment | Performance Indicator | Context |
| Mobile (Motorola) | 8.3% Market Share | Achieved record volume and activations in Q3. |
| PCs & Smart Devices | Double-Digit Growth | Outpaced the market for 10 consecutive quarters globally. |
| Infrastructure (ISG) | Record Revenue | Driven by AI server demand and Neptune liquid-cooling adoption. |
| Services (SSG) | 22% Operating Margin | Shifting toward managed services and hybrid AI solutions. |
India as a “Capability Hub”
Beyond the sales figures, Lenovo is deepening its manufacturing and R&D footprint in India to leverage the government’s Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme.
- Local Manufacturing: A “big majority” of Lenovo products sold in India—including Motorola phones, servers, and PCs—are now manufactured locally.
- Component Localization: The company is transitioning toward manufacturing critical components like motherboards and PCBs within India.
- AI Workforce: Lenovo India has grown its engineering and R&D team significantly over the last six years, with a total workforce of over 3,400 employees.
Global Context: The $22.2 Billion Record
The India growth story comes as parent company Lenovo Group posted its all-time record quarterly revenue of $22.2 billion (up 18% YoY) on February 12, 2026.
Global Highlights:
- AI as an Engine: AI-related revenue surged 72% YoY, now accounting for 32% of the group’s total revenue.
- Profitability: Adjusted net income rose 36% to $589 million, though reported profit was impacted by a one-time $285 million restructuring charge in the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG).
- Market Leadership: Lenovo maintained its position as the world’s largest PC maker with an all-time high calendar year market share of 24.9%.
“India is both a revenue market and a capability hub within Lenovo’s global strategy. We are seeing strong momentum as enterprises move AI from experimentation to production.” — Shailendra Katyal, MD, Lenovo India.
